InterMedia Report – “A Quiet Opening”
August 28, 2013
In 2012, InterMedia released a report examining the extent of outside information entering North Korea and its impact on regular North Koreans. North Korea is ranked as one of the most closed societies in the world, but the report found that the situation on the ground is changing for the better due to the influx of outside information, including radio and television broadcasts. NKnet played an important role in providing information for this report, including conducting surveys with defectors in South Korea. You may read the full report here.
